BMD Announces Firmwide Attorney Promotions

Effective December 1, 2023, the following attorneys have been promoted to Member: Cleveland – Cassandra L. Manna and Marlon Primes, Columbus – Brandon T. Pauley. Cleveland

  • Cassandra L. Manna joined BMD in 2018 focusing her practice on all matters relating to estate and wealth planning and family-run business leadership teams. She actively recruited Estate Planning law firms to join BMD and expand the reach, impact, and capabilities of her practice. Cassandra works to help assimilate the new attorneys, paralegals, assistants and other staff members into the BMD technology and processes and conveys the importance of the firm’s culture including diversity and inclusion. She is Chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Under Cassandra’s direction, the committee has developed an ongoing diversity speaker series and employee highlights that shed light on diversity and increased cultural awareness throughout the firm.
  • Marlon Primes joined the firm in 2022 as a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio and has 30 years of legal experience. He is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Business and Tort Litigation Group and handles a wide variety of complex civil litigation in state, federal and appellate courts, including jury trials and appellate actions. Marlon’s practice covers a wide variety of practice areas most notably, litigation and employment law. He is the recipient of many legal and civic awards and is frequent speaker on a wide range of legal topics. Marlon is an advocate for diversity and is a member of many boards and associations focused on elevating diversity in the legal community.

Columbus

  • Brandon T. Pauley has been with BMD since 2017. He counsels businesses, individuals, professional associations, and healthcare providers in areas involving business agreements, ownership disputes, cybersecurity, zoning, and real estate transactions. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Brandon worked in corporate real estate finance for a Fortune 500 corporation based in Columbus, Ohio.

  • Nicholas E. Karam has been with the firm since 2019 and practices in the areas of commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate business matters. His practice primarily focuses on commercial real estate purchases and sales and lease negotiations, from both the landlord and tenant sides. Nick is also experienced with various due diligence requirements when purchasing property, including environmental, survey, and title-related issues.

Columbus

  • Krista D. Warren has been with the firm since 2017. She advocates for and advises clients in commercial, business, construction, and litigation matters. Krista has handled litigation matters in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels as first and second chair. She also counsels clients through the negotiation of disputes, including mediations. In addition, Krista is a trained Title IX investigator, advisor, and decision maker, and has worked with higher education institutions throughout Ohio.

Brennan, Manna, & Diamond Relocates Jacksonville, Florida Office to Southpoint

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – June 15, 2022 – Brennan Manna Diamond, a business law firm serving Northeast, Central and Southwestern Florida, is proud to announce that on June 16th its Jacksonville office is relocating to 5210 Belfort Road, Suite 400, Jacksonville, Florida. Press Release: Fluresh Completes Historic Cannabis Industry Financing With $48 Million in Engagements From Federally Chartered Bank

Fluresh LLC, one of the largest vertically integrated cannabis operators in Michigan, announced today the closing of a senior secured note with a federally regulated commercial bank headquartered in southeast Michigan. The secured Bank Note closed on December 28, 2021, and is for aggregate gross proceeds of $25 million. The Bank Note has a variable interest rate and, at the time of closing, bore an interest rate of 5.75% per annum with 50% of the aggregate proceeds capped at 7.0%.
